Congratulations to NIPCO Employees Who Will Celebrate Graduations of Their Children

This spring, some of NIPCO’s employees will be celebrating the high school and college graduations of their children. Congratulations on your achievements and here is to a powerful future!

May graduations include:

Lexi Barthman will graduate from The Aveda Institute Des Moines this spring. Lexi is the daughter of Engineering & ROW Assistant/NIPCO Safety Coordinator Chad Barthman. Lexi will be continuing her career as an Esthetician at Élan Spa & Lash Bar in Ames, Iowa.

Brook Berkenpas will celebrate her high school graduation from Le Mars Community High School in May. Brook is the daughter of Crew Foreman Tom Berkenpas and his wife, Michelle. Brook plans to attend South Dakota State University in Brookings in the fall to study Nursing.

Nicole Betsworth will graduate from Le Mars Community High School in May. Nicole is the daughter of Control Operator Darwin Betsworth and wife, Laura. Nicole plans to attend Western Iowa Technical Community College in Sioux City, Iowa, before completing her studies in Criminal Science at Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska.

Caralinn Myers, daughter of Brian and Jill Myers will be graduating from Lawton-Bronson High School in May. She will be attending Western Iowa Technical Community College in Sioux City, Iowa, and will be a student in the college’s Physical Therapy Assistant Program.

Cody Ott will be celebrating his graduation from Le Mars Community High School in May. He is the son of Meter Technician Justin Ott and his wife, Alicia. Cody has enlisted in the 114th Fighter Wing in the South Dakota Army National Guard and will start his training this summer for a Crew Chief position. While in the Air National Guard, Cody will be attending South Dakota State University for Mechanical Engineering.

Michael Scheitler will graduate from South Dakota State University in May. Michael is the son of NIPCO CFO Jane Scheitler and her husband, Bill. Michael earned a degree in Ag Business and looks forward to returning to the area to work the family farming operations.

Britney Thompson will graduate from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, Minnesota, on May 11. Britney is the daughter of Crew Forman Bill Thompson and his wife, Sharla. Britney will have a Biology Education Degree and is pursuing a career as a naturalist.
