NIPCO Welcomes New Director
Bart Heisterkamp was formally seated as Western Iowa Power Cooperative’s (WIPCO) director representative on the NIPCO Board of Directors at its September 29 meeting. Heisterkamp currently represents District 5 on the WIPCO Board. First appointed in 2019 to fill a vacant term, he served through 2021. He ran again in 2024 and was elected to the Board. He lives in Moorhead with his wife, Lisa.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve,” Heisterkamp said. “I look forward to gaining a deeper understanding of NIPCO’s relationship with WIPCO and the important role NIPCO plays in serving the power supply needs of the WIPCO membership.”
Heisterkamp succeeds Louis Reed as WIPCO’s representative on the NIPCO Board. Reed retired from cooperative board service in August.
