We’re keeping things colorful at the Iowa State Fair as the Touchstone Energy® Cooperatives of Iowa are pleased to once again sponsor the 4-H Exhibits Building. NIPCO, along with the Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives and fellow Iowa generation and transmission cooperatives Corn Belt Power Cooperative, and CIPCO, is honored to serve as a Blue Ribbon Sponsor of the Bruce Rastetter 4-H Exhibits Building and host a safety-themed booth inside.

As a Touchstone Energy Cooperative member, NIPCO is part of a nationwide network of locally owned electric cooperatives committed to serving communities and helping member-consumers use energy wisely. If you're planning a trip to the Iowa State Fair Aug. 13-23, be sure to visit us in the air-conditioned 4-H Exhibits Building on the southwest corner of the fairgrounds. It's the perfect place to pause, cool off, and learn more about electrical safety.

Electric cooperative representatives from across Iowa will staff the booth, distributing crayons and coloring pages while supplies last. Children can color their pages onsite or take them home, creating a fun opportunity to start important conversations about electrical safety with family and friends. Adults can also mark their hometown on a statewide service territory map located in the booth and discover which electric cooperative powers their home and community.

We look forward to another year of connecting with fairgoers, sharing valuable safety information, and celebrating the cooperative difference at the Iowa State Fair.
