NIPCO held its 2026 Annual Meeting on Tuesday, April 7, at Stoney Creek Hotel and Conference Center in Sioux City, Iowa. The event focused on the theme of “Weathering Change,” highlighting how the cooperative’s directors and staff have managed the evolving challenges brought by weather. Throughout the meeting, participants discussed the increasing frequency and severity of weather events and their substantial effects on NIPCO’s daily operations. Notably, the March 2025 storm was cited as the most damaging event to the NIPCO system in over thirty years, underscoring the importance of learning from and adapting to these new realities.
